Here’s a fun space-spacing shop project that is a little easier than I expected. In the video posted below (and available on YouTube), I show you how to mount a Bosch RA1181 router table in the extension wing of a Ridgid R4512 table saw.

The approach I take should work well for other router tables and table saws as long as the router table is not wider the space between the table saw rails (using some sort of shim, of course). With the parts on hand, it shouldn’t take more than an hour or so to do

The only hardware I needed for my build using the Bosch RA1181 and Ridgid R4512 was:

  • 8x 1.25″ 5/16 hex bolts
  • 8x 5/16 hex nuts
  • 4x 3/64″ (approximate thickness) 5/16 washers 1/32″ thick would have been just as good, but 1/16″ thick would be too large

Overall, I am extremely pleased with how the build came together and continue to be impressed with how sturdy it is mounted between the rails on the table saw. Leave a comment below if this is something you have tried or plan on doing with your table saw and router table!
